The St. Vincent de Paul Society's 14th Annual Friends of the Poor Walk will be held on Saturday, October 8 at 9 A.M. (rain or shine) at Father Andrew White School. The St. Vincent de Paul Society offers assistance to those in need in our community. The goal of the Walk is to call attention and raise awareness to the needs of the poor. Beginning at Father Andrew White School, the course will take walkers through the streets of Historic Leonardtown. There will be a post-walk brunch, music, theme baskets for a silent auction, balloons for children, and door prizes. There is no registration fee, but walkers are encouraged to collect pledges or donate to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Walkers can also invite family members and friends to sponsor them.
