I see clearly, that the thing the church needs most today is the ability to heal wounds and to warm the hearts of the faithful; it needs nearness, proximity. I see the church as a field hospital after battle. It is useless to ask a seriously injured person if he has high cholesterol and about the level of his blood sugars! You have to heal his wounds. Then we can talk about everything else. Heal the wounds, heal the wounds.... And you have to start from the ground up. ✠ Pope Francis
Jesus said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages. ... They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. ✠ Mark 16:15-18
The mission of St. Aloysius Church's healing ministry is to help you to discover the healing love of Jesus Christ by praying for your physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.
On the fourth weekend of each month after all Masses, healing prayer is available by a prayer team. Reasons to request prayer may include physical or mental health issues, struggles with letting go of certain sins, addictions, fears, confusion, emotional pain, relationships problems and many other concerns a person may have. Prayers are brief, lasting no longer than 5-10 minutes. Please know that anything shared with a trained lay prayer team is held in strict confidentiality and will not be spoken about outside of the brief prayer period. Prayer teams will meet parishioners who would like to be prayed with in the Sacred Heart Chapel.
