Every third Sunday of the month has been designated as Community Sunday at St. Aloysius. Though we strive to live and act as a community every Sunday and every day of the week, this particular Sunday is a reminder to us of our responsibility to care for and strengthen the community we call Church and the family of God.
Community Sunday has some very particular activities associated with it whereby we given opportunities to help others in the family of God. First, we care for the hungry in our family. On Community Sunday every household in encouraged to bring non-perishable food for the less fortunate in the Leonardtown and Hollywood communities.
Finally we care for one another by strengthening our relationships through fellowship. After the 8:00 am and 11:00 am Masses, community members are encourgaged to spend time together in the gym at Father Andrew White School, talking, catching-up, welcoming new members all over coffee or juice and a bite to eat, remembering as we do so that "Wherever two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in their midst."
