Twinning: Holy Cross Parish, Botswana

Twinning is the building of a relationship of mutual love, respect, prayer, and sharing between two groups of people who choose to relate to each other as brothers and sisters. We no longer desire to think only of our own personal needs but also of the greater needs of the other.

Our Twinning Mission is to build the Kingdom of God wherever we are called to make Christ visible through our spirituality and good works to the poor and needy. Twinning is a means of implementing charity and solidarity by assisting our fellow Vincentians in their daily efforts to serve the poor. Twinning builds upon the very hallmark of the Society – friendship – and strives to fulfill the Society’s universal mission of charity.

On the 3rd Sunday of every month members of the parish’s St. Vincent de Paul Society stand at the doors of the church after all Masses collecting donations for our twinning or sister parish, Holy Cross Church, Botswana.
