St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent De Paul Society is an international Catholic organization of lay persons who wish to live their faith by loving and serving the poor and needy, on a person to person basis, in the spirit of Christ. A key strength of the Society is in the personalized delivery of help. The Society recognizes that it must assume a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless and voiceless. An essential precept of the Society is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the privacy and dignity of those that are served. The conference members assist the pastor in responding to requests for assistance. Many members are also actively involved in assisting in the community as volunteers, for example at nursing centers and visiting the homebound. The conference presents an opportunity to all persons to participate in the mission of the Catholic Church by “ministering to the sick and elderly, by proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ and hospitably reaching out to others.” Participation in the parish’s conference develops the Christian community, wherein members mutually encourage one another in loving God and neighbor.

Meetings are held in the rectory on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 9:15 a.m.
