St. Aloysius Music ministry invites you to join us in song and prayer. Dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to attend rehearsals are the only requirements! To sign up, please email the contact for each group listed below.

Choir Ministries

All choirs sing music of various genres, languages, cultures and styles, including chant, classical, traditional, hymns, contemporary and praise/worship music.

Spirit Singers Children’s Choir (3rd through 8th grade)

The choir serves the 11:00 am Mass on the first Sunday of the month during the school year and Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, First Holy Communion, and other special liturgies and events. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 4:00 – 5:00 pm, and one hour prior to Mass. Contact Georgia Harvey or Kathy Frederick

Cross Generation Youth Choir (9th through 12th grade)

Starting Fall 2011, Cross Generation will serve at the 11:00 AM Mass on the second Sunday of the month during the school year, Christmas Eve and other special liturgies and events. Rehearsals are held Tuesdays, 6:30 – 7:30 pm, and one hour prior to Mass.

Grateful Hearts Adult Choir (9th grade through 99 years)

The choir serves the 1st Saturday of the month at 5:00 and the 4th and 5th Sundays of the month at 11:00 AM Mass. They also serve on Christmas Eve, the Easter Triduum, Holy Days and special liturgies and events. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7:30 – 9:00 pm, and one hour prior to Mass. Contact: Georgia Harvey

Cantor and Psalmist Ministries

Cantors serve as song leaders, and Psalmists proclaim the Word in song at each Mass and liturgy. Training is provided. Cantors and psalmists may also serve as choir members and/or musicians. Contact: Georgia Harvey

Accompanist, Musician and Sound Engineering Ministries

Accompanists, musicians and sound engineers play vital roles in supporting the choir and cantor ministries to lead the assembly to deeper worship through sung prayer. Pianists, organists, instrumentalists and sound experts of all ages and levels of experience are encouraged to serve! Accompanists and sound engineers are needed at each Mass and special liturgies and events as requested. Instrumentalists attend rehearsals in support of weekly and/or seasonal liturgies.
