Bible Studies
The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains why it is so important for Catholics to explore the faith through bible study:
CCC 133 The Church "forcefully and specifically exhorts all the Christian faithful . . . to learn ‘the surpassing knowledge of Jesus Christ,’ by frequent reading of the divine Scriptures. ‘Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ.’"
Do you wish that you knew more about the Bible and the things that Jesus and the Apostles did back in the first century? Do you have a hunger for God but are unsure of how to become closer to Him? Do you strive to be a person who is known for spiritual knowledge?Do you want a group of close Catholic friends who will pray for and with you?
Our small group Bible studies meet in a parishioner’s home and dig into the Scriptures using a variety of resources. Our Bible study leaders all receive specific training on how to make the Scriptures come alive and make it easy for you to understand. For more information, contact Leonard Wathen.
For up to date information about Bible Studies being offered in the parish, see the Adult Faith Formation newsletter, Parish Calendar, or parish bulletin.
