“The community of Father Andrew White, S.J. School in Leonardtown knows firsthand about the theme for 2013 Catholic Schools Week, “Catholic Schools Raise the Standards.” In September, the U.S. Department of Education named the Southern Maryland Catholic school as a National Blue Ribbon School. Only 50 private schools across the nation received this designation as America’s most successful schools, including three from the Archdiocese of Washington.”
